Students can select the Hospital Administration, Long-Term Care Administration, or Self-Directed Concentration. Pre-career students must complete at least 54 credits, but mid-career professionals can complete just 48 credits. Anyone with less than three years of full-time work experience must complete an applied internship.
Master of Public Health (MPH)
Ranging from 60 to 63 credits, the Master of Public Health (MPH) program at GVSU is offered to give graduate students the valuable opportunity to acquire the quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills to promote good health as public health practitioners. The program is rooted in community-based education and research to advocate for social justice in vulnerable populations globally. Courses are taken at the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences in the heart of Grand Rapids. There are three emphasis options in Epidemiology, Health Promotion, and Public Health Administration based on future goals.
